DEALING WITH MENIERE'S DISEASE

Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear characterized by dizziness, a spinning sensation, nausea, ringing sounds, sensation of fullness of the ear and hearing loss. The following suggestions may help you deal with the disorder. Avoid alcohol, caffeine and smoking. Get regular sleep. Eat a healthy low-salt diet. Try to reduce stress which may trigger the attacks and intensify the symptoms. Ask your doctor about taking a diuretic which may reduce the frequency of attacks. There are also anit-vertigo and anti-nausea medications available that can help.

I learned so much by research during the four years this monster penetrated my body!! That was from 2004 until April of 2008 when I took control of the situation and refused to take a prescription that had been prescribed to and for me.
I have to much to accomplish....to have allowed such an affection to stop me!!!! I'm sure there are so many of you that are reading this......THAT WOULD LIKE TO SHARE YOUR VERTIGO HAPPENINGS WITH ME! Do You Have Vertigo? Talk To Me!

MENIERE'S DISEASE....Better known as VERTIGO! I am not a doctor! I am a writer that has experienced three years of vertigo. For over two years....I was almost housebound! But...in the mountains of N. Georgia, a realtor showed me a little known temporary way to stop your world from going around and around! I found there are hundreds...maybe thousands of individuals with vertigo. Does the height of the mountains have something to do with it? I haven't decided yet! But, all I know is, I did not ever suffer from meniere's disease until my husband and I visited (1 week..Rving) in Yellowstone National Park. I went back to Florida and within a short period of time....MY WORLD WAS TURN UP-SIDE DOWN! Just a little dizziness to begin with. Lost of hearing in my left ear (40%), which I understand is one of the first happenings with vertigo. Then on to the beautiful N. Georgia Mountains for our first extended stay. We purchased a small cabin there. Within one month...IT STARTED! This time full-blown vertigo. I thought I was having some type of stroke! I will leave my first major encounter with this devastating disease for now! There is so much more I can share with all....but, I want to hear from you.
